(Tech.) has been appointed as Managing Director of two companies at the forefront of Finnish wind energy, Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli Oy and Arenso Oy. The appointment will be effective as of August 19, 2025. The former Managing Director of both companies, <strong>Toni Sulameri<\/strong>, will continue his work as Managing Director of Tahkoluoto Offshore Oy, the company developing the extension project of the Tahkoluoto offshore wind farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThese steps are taken to ensure that all three companies can focus on their core business,\u201d says <strong>Arto Nikkanen<\/strong>, Chair of the Board of Arenso, Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli and Tahkoluoto Offshore as well as Managing Director at Lappeenrannan Energia. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dSuomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli has doubled its production capacity in the past few years and has transitioned from a wind energy construction company to a significant energy production company, shifting its focus to production optimisation. The Tahkoluoto Extension project, on the other hand, is in the development and investment preparation phase. Developing and constructing offshore wind differs greatly from onshore wind production; with these changes, we aim to strengthen the viability of the extension project and support competitive energy production well into the future\u201d, Nikkanen continues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kleemola has extensive experience in wind energy development and production. He was appointed as Business Director, Onshore Wind when Arenso Oy was founded in September 2024 after the demerger of Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli Oy. During 2015\u20132024, Kleemola held various roles at Suomen Hy\u00f6tytuuli Oy, most recently as director of energy business and technology.
